The Cria Caballar has joined with Melpi to make their Stud Book available on-line -- with regular updates!
To access the information go to www.librogenealogico.com.
Click on "PRE" and then choose "Aficionado" and click "Entrar".
Where you see "Nombre Ejemplar" (horse name), type in the name of the horse you are looking for. Then click "Buscar".
The result(s) will appear under "Resultados de la Búsqueda". Click on the name of the horse for which you were searching.
The next screen shows the data of the horse: its código, its parents' códigos. If a red "Si" is shown, then the horse is approved (apto). If there is nothing in this spot, the horse is inscribed and/or has not yet been presented for approval. If there is a red "No" showing, the horse is not approved (no apto). This page can be printed.
Click on "Continuar" and the full pedigree tree will appear. This page can be printed.
To search for another name, click "Back" two pages and enter another name.
This service of the Cría Caballar will be enormously helpful to all of us, providing regular updates to the printed hard-bound Stud Books which are printed at lengthy intervals.
